Tasmanian Cross Country Championships

RESULTS for the Tasmanian Cross Country Championships are now available on our website. Congratulations to all our members who took part, we had some super individual results from the U14's through to Masters, topping the day off with our Open Men taking out the teams event.

Isaac Bonsey got the team off to a great start, improving on his second place at the Primary All Schools to take out the U14 3km event in 11:05. Dani Perigo impressed in a competitive U18 age group, finishing fifth in 19:57 for the 4km event. Triathlete Ethan Stretton left his togs & bike at home for the day, taking on the U18 6km event to finish second in a quick 22:35, while XC regular Craig Canham finished fourth in the O50 8km event in 34:00.

Milly Clark and Dylan Evans claimed their first State Cross Country titles in the Open events, running 38:25 and 33:13 respectively. Yesterday's event marked a return to competition for Milly who was sidelined with injury last November. Inessa Corney joined Milly in the open event, finishing fifth 47:33.
Young gun Harvey Chilcott jumped an age group to join Dylan Evans, Thomas Wilson & Clive Reekie in the open event 'Dream Team', with the four teaming up to take gold in the teams event. Individually, Harvey finished fourth (35:50), Thomas seventh (36:43) and Clive eighth (36:52).
