Stewart McSweyn ran a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS qualifier to win the 5000m at the Morton Games in Ireland.
Stewart ran 13:19.99, taking 15 seconds off his previous best to comfortably run under the qualifying mark of 13:22.60. Hitting the bell at 12:22, Stewart lifted to pass Colllis Birmingham on the bend before striding clear down the back straight.
Stewart joins Hamish Peacock and Josh Harris as the trio Tassie boys qualified for the London Championships, after already representing Australia in March at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Uganda. Massive congrats Stewart on a very well deserved result #beansingit
