Athletics Tasmania 2018 – 2019 Athlete of the Year Awards
Congratulations to all our nominees for the Tasmanian Athlete of the Year Awards for the 2018 – 2019 Season.
To be nominated as one of the leading athletes in your age group or event category is a wonderful achievement and something to be proud of.
In addition to our individual winners, UTAS Athletics Club won the Harrier Cup for the Men’s Championships and the Kohl Shield for combined U16 and Open Points for the 2019 championships. Well done to all our winners, a total of eight individual awards were home with UTAS members which is an incredible result for a small club in only our fourth year.

It was a pretty awesome day for our club at the Athlete of the year presentations today, with eight trophies finding their way onto our table.
As a club, UTAS won the Harrier Cup again for the 2017 – 2018 season, while the following members won individual AOTY awards:

UTAS Athletics Club collected the Harrier Cup for the second time in our two year history. The Harrier Cup is awarded on Men’s Championships points from the Tasmanain Open Track & Field Championships. Our women alsohad a successful season, finishing runner-up to Eastern Suburbs in the Kohl Shield.

Also presented today was the top 10 Bib number for the upcoming season, with Hamish Peacock again receiving the #1 bib, Josh Harris #5 and Huw Peacock #8.
