Another National Record for Stewy

Stewart McSweyn claimed the Australian 1500m record at the Doha Diamond League meet ?

The 1500m record caps off a brief but sensational campaign overseas for Stewart, where he has claimed his second Australian Record in less than 10 days in winning the Men’s 1500m in Doha. Stewart entered the event with the best seed time of 3:31.48 and enjoyed a sit behind the pacemaker until the bell when he took the lead and surged away from the field. Racing against the clock, Stewart put on a show of strength, speed and confidence to take out the event in 3:30.51.

The King of King Island is now arguably the King of Australian Distance Running.
